Clicbusiness is an online information service provided to business owners, operators and entrepreneurs though the Business Incubation Centre operating in the Three Hills ClicSite (clicthreehills).
The Business Incubation Centre provides support services to established businesses, business start ups, entrepreneurs and SOHO enterprise (small office, home office). These include access to broadband connectivity and computers, business machines, telephone and mail services, meeting rooms and private workspaces.
Business information, support services, counseling and training are offered on-site, or virtually via videoconferencing, by Community Futures Wild Rose and The Business Link. These providers deal with traditional economies and the knowledge economies.
What is the ClicSite?
ClicSites are part of the 21st century public infrastructure and technology serving a 21st century rural Alberta that operates on an equal footing with anyone and anywhere else in the world.
This network of ClicSites creates an easily accessible marketplace offering rural Albertans the largest selection of services from the greatest number of providers possible.
Each service provider has a physical or virtual presence in the ClicSite. Their programs deal with every aspect of community life including:
•Targeted information sources.
•Greater learning opportunities.
•Strengthening social wellness.
•Increased access to health care.
•Business incubation and support.
•Introductory, in-depth and advanced training for youth in digital media.
•Expanded resources for voluntary sector organizations and community groups.
Providers work with each other to cross-promote, cross-refer, link programs and share resources in serving all populations in the community in the most effective way.
The ClicSite is a new focal point for the shared life of the community. By enlarging the capacity and confidence of individuals to advance in their personal lives, then connecting them to each other, local organizations and the global community online through the ClicSite, the whole community is made stronger. Rural Albertans will be better able to work together in finding even more creative solutions to the challenges they face in building their common future.
